We’re thrilled to share the heartfelt love story of our beautiful La Mariée bride, Megan Bunkers, and her fiancé-turned-husband, Mitchell Bunkers! Their wedding day was full of unforgettable moments, love, and joy—and we’re honored to have been part of Megan’s bridal journey.
How They Met
Megan and Mitchell met nearly three years ago at a young adult pool party hosted by their church. Despite a decent-sized crowd, they found common ground through mutual friends and a fun discovery—they attended the same high school, just one year apart! Mitchell overheard Megan mention this and sparked a conversation. Their connection quickly grew as they enjoyed dinner and played pool together that night. The next day, Mitchell texted Megan, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Favorite Part of Wedding Planning
For Megan, one of the most special parts of planning was creating their dance floor playlist. The couple took a road trip to Oklahoma City where they brainstormed, listened to songs, and laughed as they added forgotten favorites. The playlist they created kept the party alive all night, and Megan cherishes the fun memories made during that time.
Favorite Part of the Wedding Day
The moment Megan most treasured was getting ready to walk down the aisle. She felt a whirlwind of emotions—excitement, anxiety, sadness, joy, and nerves—all at once. But when she saw Mitchell standing at the altar, every feeling melted away, replaced by pure happiness and anticipation to start their life together.
Her La Mariée Experience
Megan’s experience at La Mariée was truly special. Coming from another bridal appointment where she felt pressured and unheard, Megan immediately felt the difference here. Megan says: “My La Mariée experience was one I won’t forget. I had come straight from another wedding dress appointment where I felt pressured and not heard in what I was looking for. When I started at La Mariée, Kenzi made sure I had plenty of options that were exactly what I was looking for along with some surprises. Every one on the staff there made sure I felt seen and helped me find a dress that I felt so beautiful in. The girls at La Mariée made me feel so safe in my choice and so beautiful on my wedding day. I have not stopped recommending La Mariée to other brides that I have met!”
Advice to Future Brides
Megan’s advice to other brides is heartfelt and honest: “Don’t let the small things stress you out. I was so focused on minor details that, in the end, no one else even noticed. And yes, things will go wrong (I didn’t believe it until it actually happened!), but on the day of your wedding, just approach everything with carelessness and let things happen naturally. At the end of the day, you’re marrying your best friend, and nothing else matters.”
